Tre Bella

A Festival favorite, The Columbus Italian Festival is pleased to once again present Tre Bella (Three Beauties)

JoAnn Robertozzi

This energetic and inspired vocalist and actress has been performing since the age of three.  She is the “architect” of Tre Bella and the creative force behind Ti Piace, Italian American Presentations, Inc.  which dedicates itself to promoting Italian heritage through art and culture. Based in Manhattan, this new nonprofit scooped up various awards for its production of performances including grants from the New York State Council on the Arts (NYSCA). JoAnn has appeared in many television commercials, among them, DeBeers Diamonds, GE Profile appliances, Sprint and Purina Cat Chow; the later which landed her an international print ad.  In addition to co‐starring in such independent films as the award winning, Let’s Talk About Sex, Robertozzi was nominated for an Emmy in 2011 by the Academy of Television Arts and Science for co‐composing the score of the WWII documentary feature film, 5,000 Miles From Home.  She is also the recipient of a Bronze Telly Award for the film’s music score.  The documentary was chosen as the feature for documentary night at the Art of Brooklyn Film Festival.   JoAnn is currently working on  Labor of Love, a play with music based on the Triangle Factory Fire of 1911.  The play’s theme song was featured on WNBC’s News. JoAnn teaches vocal and performance to young children and produces their recordings. (www.joannrobertozzi.com)

Lorraine Ferro

Multi-platinum hit songwriter Lorraine Ferrois a diminutive Italian-American dynamo, with a voice that has been compared to legendary performers such as Edith Piaf, Janis Joplin and Ann Wilson of “Heart”. In 2012, Lorraine was a featured contestant on the 3rd season of the NBC-TV hit show, “The Voice”, and in the summer of 2013, she was cast in a leading role in the Off-Broadway musical, “America’s Breath of Fresh Air”. Lorraine has toured nationally with her own bands and internationally with a number of celebrities, including Lesley Gore (It’s My Party) and legendary guitarist, Ritchie Blackmore (Deep Purple). She has sung on numerous albums with artists such as Dar Williams, Jennifer Rush, and Blackmore’s Night, and has been heard regularly on national TV spots such as Nabisco, Folgers and Pillsbury. Her songs have been covered by artists ranging from Susan Ashton to Jessica Simpson, and she has won many awards including a Dove Award for Inspirational Recorded Song of the Year, and Outstanding Pop Song at the OutMusic Awards. Lorraine is also a passionate artist coach, teaching vocal, songwriting and performance workshops and private lessons in NYC and the Tri-State area. Some of her better known students include Ann Curless of pop group Exposé (vocal production), and Lana Del Rey (songwriting).

Rosie De Sanctis

is a soulful singer/songwriter who hails from the suburbs of Philadelphia where she got her start in the entertainment industry by “divine intervention”, being cast in the role of the Blessed Mother in her 8th grade Christmas production.  She discovered her love for music at a young age, singing around the piano with her family.  She is thrilled to have the opportunity to harmonize her way across the country, touring with the talented ladies of Tre Bella. Currently, Rosie can be seen in “Labor of Love,” a play with music honoring the victims of the tragic Triangle Shirtwaist Factory Fire in New York City in 1911.  She has appeared in films and on TV, including the hit FX series, RESCUE ME, starring Dennis Leary.  She recently wrote, produced and starred in the short film, MOSES, directed by Brent Buell, which features one of her original songs.  Rosie has founded GODDESS FILMS, a production company committed to developing projects that embrace the voice and empowerment of women artists of all ages.
